Coaching Roles
Critical to the learning process is the coaching strategy. Coaches are selected within each school and district. Reading Academy coaches not only provide support for each teacher to guide them more easily through the curriculum, but also receive ongoing support and technical assistance from the VoyagerU staff.

Building Coaches support Reading Academy participants, acting as facilitators for the teacher groups at the campus level. The Building Coaches train teachers to use online material, facilitate the on-site group sessions, and make classroom visits.

District Coaches provide training and support for the Building Coaches. They generally work with a group of 6-8 coaches throughout the session, reviewing progress of the modules and providing overall program reporting. District Coach leaders are trained and supported by Voyager Reading Academy program specialists.
